I was fortunate to have this drawing included in the lsad drawing competition 2015. A remark by the artist Mark Heng about an unfinished drawing I'm working on at the moment, being interesting in it's in complete stage ,got me thinking about this drawing , in real life when we view a person's face we really only focus on the eyes and in this immediate area . The rest is obscure to our vision except in photographs . This idea might be worth exploring going forward.

Waiting for Godot. The great Existentialist play by Samuel Beckett , this play especially the stage set designed by Giacometti has had agreat influence on my current work especially the line "This place,at this moment of time, allmankind is us, whether we likeit or not"

 

Screams soundlessly . Work from my exhibition The Cool Vernacular. Explores the loneliness of of social redundancy in contemporary market and commercial driven society
